In our Saturday Spotlights, we highlight four of our favorite artists of the week, including three feature.fm artists and one very special guest.
Here are the great songs and artists we loved listening to this week:
Sister of Pearl by Baio
**Baio** is the solo project of **Vampire Weekend’s** bass player Chris Baio. His first solo album **“The Names”** is inspired by American author, and fellow Bronxville native, Don DeLillo’s books. This album marks a shift with the world of Vampire Weekend and a return to his roots in electronic music. More importantly, it’s an expression of Baio’s desire to investigate his own lyrical and vocal identity. “The Names” nine tracks explore ideas of space, belonging and beauty. Here’s to hoping you’ll love it as much as we do.
*My Ways* by **N∆TIONS**
**N∆TIONS** is a collaborative project by principle songwriters Nolan Thies and Toby Pipes. Thies is a **BKLYN1834** artist in residence. BKLYN1834 is a talent incubator for young artists in Brooklyn. Together they live in a Victorian home in Ditmas park, and create music, art, and comedy. Pipes is co-founder of Deep Blue Something and co-owner of BPL Studios. N∆TIONS is shoegaze at its best. Just sit back and enjoy.
*Molecule* by **EONS**
**Eons** is a synth-pop duo from Miami, Florida. The duo consists of Johnny D on keyboards, guitar, and vocals; and Matty G on keyboards, vocals, and sampling. Their music is a blend of futuristic ethereal synth-pop and old-school disco. Their music is best used to get the weekend started off right. You can’t go wrong with these guys. Perfect for fans of **Chromeo** and **Empire of the Sun**!

*West Side* by **Chao Chaos**
**Chaos Chaos** is Blooklyn based sister Asy and Chloe Saavedra. The two sisters from Seattle spent their teen years touring the world, recording, and opening for the likes of Death Cab for Cutie, Pearl Jam, and Sufjan Stevens under the name Smoosh. Since then, their music trademark indie-pop sound has matured and become increasingly inspired by dance-pop and hip-hop. **“Committed to the Crime”** is their latest EP and it’s unbelievably catchy.
